The Role

As our Reservations Supervisor you will play an integral part of the commercial team for both the Grafton and Chancery Hotel. As the key contact for guests and clients you will be required to communicate effectively with them from the initial enquiry, with a proactive approach to driving maximum revenue whilst offering the highest level of customer service.

Responsibilities

To assist the Reservations Manager with the day to day running of the reservation office and team, handling of all incoming leads and business enquiries

To ensure all group enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner from proposal stage, to follow up, contracting and the co-ordination of the group arrival

Communicate effectively on all incoming group bookings to the hotel team

Support the Reservations Manager on the operational procedures of the department

Identify leads and revenue opportunities and collaborate closely with the commercial team

To ensure the enquiries and reservations emails are dealt with in a timely manner, using the appropriate communication

Experience

Previous hotel experience in a reservations role is essential

Experience of hotel PMS Systems with Opera being an advantage

Be able to maximise revenue by converting enquiries, recognising business prospects and upselling

Experience of group bookings preferred, being able to liaise with clients to co-ordinate the finer details of each booking

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Ensure every detail of a customer’s reservation has been accurately recorded following procedures

Be able to display good time management skills

Be able to work in a high-pressured environment whilst maintaining a positive attitude

A highly organised person with the ability to prioritise and multitask

A balance between a methodical and process-driven approach and flexibility and creativity when it comes to meeting deadlines and finding solutions.
