Apart from the main worldwide concerts that will be presented at the Aviva Stadium such as Pink on the 20th of June and Taylor Swift playing on the 28th of June, or in Croke Park, with AC/DC on the 18th of August and Coldplay on the 29th and 30th of August, and last but not least, Green Day playing at Marlay Park on the 27th of June, there is a huge list of activities to enjoy this year at the Irish capital.

Forbidden Fruit is the capital's first and longest-running city-centre festival. On the Bank Holiday Weekend June 1-2, 2024, Forbidden Fruit will return as the first festival of the summer.

Taste of Dublin is summer’s finest food and drink festival. Brings a foodie haven and a unique opportunity to source essential ingredients from artisan producers and engage with Ireland’s top culinary talent. For the first time in Merrion Square, from the 13th to the 16th of June.

Bloomsday is celebrated from the 11th to the 16th of June. The day is named after Leopold Bloom, the central character in Ulysses. Celebrations often include dressing up like characters from the book and in clothes that would have been the style of the era.

Dun Laoghaire Summerfest, featuring over 50 acts performing. The events will take place at various venues around Dun Laoghaire over two weeks from Friday 5th to Sunday 14th of July 2024.

Summer Family Activities in Dublin 2024

The sensational new production of one of the world’s most beloved musicals THE WIZARD OF OZ comes to Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from 28 May – 08 June 2024.

The Tiger Who Came to Tea returns on tour. A musical play adapted and directed by David Wood – Based on the book by Judith Kerr. A delightful family show, packed with magic and sing-a-long songs. Friday 7th June - Sunday 9th June at Pavilion Theatre, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire.

A day for all, young and old, with music and entertainment, a market, food, kid’s entertainment and much more. Lusk Summer Festival in Orlynn Park Green on Saturday the 22nd of June

The Ukulele Hooley is a not-for-profit, family-friendly, community event. Returns to Dún-Laoghaire this 24th and 25th of August.

The Very Pink Run is a family fun event offering a 10k and 5k distance for people to run, jog, walk or wheel. It attracts a pink tribe of men, women and children, all showing their support to raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Ireland’s ongoing research and awareness. Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Leopardstown.
