The golf course has hosted a huge number of prestigious titles including 19 Irish Open Championships. Some winners include Ben Crenshaw, Seve Ballesteros, and Bernhard Langer. More recently, in 2019, it was the home of the Amateur Championship.

The Island

The Island Golf course is one of the true hidden gems in Ireland. The links course hugs the estuary and winds its way through lands strewn with the most towering collection of sand dunes in the area. It is one of the top 100 Golf Courses in Ireland and the UK. It provides a superb links challenge for those willing to play it.

Pro tip: Severely sloped greens on most holes. Don't be greedy with your putts.

Royal Dublin

Royal Dublin Golf Club is a classic golf links located just 10KM from The Grafton Hotel. It is the second oldest golf club in Ireland. The course has a classic layout where you play out on the front 9 away from the clubhouse and then turn towards home for the back 9.

The K Club is probably one of the most famous golf clubs in Ireland and offers terrific views. It was designed by Arnold Palmer and consists of 2 stunning championship golf courses. The Palmer North hosted the prestigious Ryder Cup in 2006 with some famous faces such as Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia playing.
