The RDS arena is owned by the Royal Dublin Society and operates as a multi-purpose venue for music, sport and events.
Founded in 1731, the Royal Dublin Society is a philanthropic Society supported by membership subscriptions and commercial activities which continues to fulfil its commitment to furthering the broad economic and cultural development of Ireland.
The RDS began exhibitions over 150 years ago as a means to share ideas, encourage best practice and showcase Irish excellence in these areas.
The RDS created our Ballsbridge venue for these exhibitions, such as the Spring Show and the Dublin Horse Show. Because of its central location and the variety and flexibility of the rental space available, the RDS Dublin has become a major venue for exhibitions, conferences and social gatherings of all sizes.
The Dublin Horse Show and Comicon are events that happen yearly at the RDS.
